Acceptable Use Policy

EMAIL

1. Email addresses composed of offensive words or suggestions of offensive words are prohibited.
2. Sending of unsolicited bulk email (‘spam’) is prohibited.
3. Allowing third parties to send unsolicited bulk emails directly or by relay is prohibited.
4. Open mail relays are not permitted.
5. The sending and forwarding of chain letters, hoaxes, and malicious or offensive email is prohibited.
6. The sending of viruses, worms knowingly is prohibited. Reasonable steps must be taken by each user to restrict the propagation of viruses and worms in addition to any virus checking provided by netAerial.
7. The soliciting of email addresses except by consent is disallowed.
8. Forging any part of the header information in an email or newsgroup posting is forbidden.
9. Flooding or mailbombing with email is prohibited.
10. Reports of abuse of email to be sent to abuse@netaerial.com

SECURITY

1. The unauthorised access to data, network or system, including attempts to do so, or using tools to evaluate the vulnerability of such systems without permission is prohibited.
2. The unauthorised monitoring of network traffic is prohibited.
3. The unauthorised monitoring of wireless traffic is prohibited.
4. Attempts to flood the network to overload the system, and attacks by broadcast is forbidden.
5. Any act that could breach the privacy or safety of companies or individuals is prohibited.
6. NetAerial.com will pursue any violations, and assist the Police and other authorities with investigations in order to prosecute violators according to English Law.

INTERNET and NETWORK

1. NetAerial.com is can not control the content of the network traffic within the netAerial network, or on traffic entering and leaving the netAerial network.
2. NetAerial is not responsible for the actions, or lack of response of any user.
3. Users agree to abide by known internet netiquette, protocols and standards.
4. Users accept that a firewall must be installed to protect their data
5. Users accept that unless encrypted, then network traffic is not secure
6. The internet connectivity provided by netAerial may not be shared with other people outside of a household or a business entity or resold except within the provision of the netAerial Wireless Hotspot solution.

EXCESSIVE USE

1. NetAerial provide broadband internet connectivity to communities on a shared bandwidth basis. The techniques used to share the bandwidth ensure that all users enjoy high speed access during what is considered to be typical internet usage.
2. Users must not make continued excessive bandwidth demands, which will affect other users within the community.
3. Excessive bandwidth demand can be considered as streaming video at more than 250Kbps, any continuous streaming video or streaming audio, and audio/video conferencing left on constantly, or use of over 30Gb of traffic per month.
4. Peer-to-peer file sharing over the internet is not permitted.

ILLEGAL USE

1. The netAerial network must not be used for illegal purposes.
2. The transmission, storage or distribution of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation is prohibited.
3. Without limitation, the prohibition includes material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, or any intellectual property right used without authorisation, and any material that is obscene, hateful, racist, threatening, defamatory, or violates any laws.
4. NetAerial.com will pursue any violations, and assist the Police and other authorities with investigations in order to prosecute violators according to English Law.
